"The Years Sleep" marks the 8th release in BLCKCSTLS' ongoing ambient endeveours and is a thematic continuation of last years "Doubt Is The Aggressor" and "Pure Fears In Transit".
Both releases established a world filled with fear, desperation and personal drama. "The Years Sleep" first started out as a project to illustrate a resulting sense of apathy and loss of control. Signs of this are still left in tracks such as "On Indifference" or "Heimsuchung". With time, "Sleep" evolved into a grander album, exploring more facetes and focusing on a more introspective point of view. The tone is more diverse this time, striving from the bleak, nightmare inducing sounds from last releases and mixing it up with warmer synth sounds as featured on the tracks "I've" and "A House Atop The Dunes".
I personally want to thank everyone that accompanied me and my releases over the years, especially in a rather tough 2016. Geir/Gold/Mo/or whatever his name is nowadays for always pushing and believing in this project and years of support. The whole K+ family including Jordan, Tee (Chainsaw) and the magnificent rest. Thanks to Rakem and Gammanh Creative Publishing for his services and support. Special shout out to Morad Enayet for mastering this album. (Get your ass out of Disneyland) and of course the ever so magnificent sounding DADA/DΛDΛ/ᗌvᗌv (Pick one).
